Directors will have participants read from available scripts and sing from music provided.

Never Kiss A Naughty Nanny       Farce                                      May 26 – June 5

          A developer and builder have created “THE HOUSE OF THE FUTURE”. The house is filled with gadgets such as:  self cleaning bathrooms, central trash disposal, automatic closets, and his masterpiece “the ion chamber”.  Eager to sell his “House of the Future,” the developer persuades his secretary and a salesman to pose as a married couple renting the house by offering them a $5,000 bonus if the house is sold to the prospective buyers. When the buyers show up for the weekend, nothing in the house seems to work right. A maintenance man is summoned – and forced to dress up as a nanny to perpetuate the ruse.

Cast: 2 women, 4-5 men  

Ramona Quimby                     Comedy                             June 16 – June 26 

Unpredictable. Exasperating. Boisterous and independent. That's Ramona Quimby for you. Always aggravating her older sister, Beezus, constantly getting into trouble and sometimes "making a big, noisy fuss" when things don't go her way.  The problems facing the Quimbys, a middle-class Oregon family, are problems common to most families, and the family's togetherness in tackling the sacrifices and adjustments required is a clear statement of traditional family value. Along with the discovery that life is not always fair, eventually Ramona and Beezus come to realize that sisters may not always agree, but they can be good to have around.

Cast:  4 – 6 children (ages 10 – 14) plus 4 women, 3 men

 

MAME                 Musical        July 7 – July 17  

.After young Patrick Dennis’s parents die, his nanny Agnes Gooch, brings him to live with his last living relative, Aunt Mame.  Mame is a wild , flamboyant, party gal, and she and Patrick hit it off immediately.  Things go along well until the stock market crashes leaving Mame needing to take on a series of odd jobs after losing her money. Eventually, through marriage, Mame’s wealth is used in a positive manner.  

Cast:   There are numerous male and female roles of various ages as well as chorus singers and dancers.

 

Greetings!                                      Comedy                            July 28– August 7

Andy has a sweet Catholic mother, a sour Catholic father and a mentally disabled younger brother named Mickey. When he brings his Jewish atheist fiancé to meet the folks on Christmas Eve, his worst fears about family blow ups are realized.  Stunning, touching and joyful.

Cast:    2 women, 3 men

 

Golf, The Musical                Musical                         August 18 – August 28

The fun, frustrations and humor of the grand old game are celebrated in this fast-paced, tune-filled Off-Broadway hit. Hilarious skits, witty songs and even a putting competition make Golf an uproarious hit with players and non-players alike.

Cast:  1 woman, 3 men
