Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp

Aladdin is unkind toward his poor mother, rude to authority, and generally unwashed and unmannered.   But the powerful Jinn of the Lamp, fiercely sought by an evil-hearted sorcerer, gives Aladdin the chance to rise above himself, to dare great things -- even to win the hand of the Princess of the realm. The classic story is filled with breathtaking adventure, dark magic, and young romance.

Magic, genies, and an oil lamp are all important parts of the traditional story of Aladdin from Timothy Mason’s script   Aladdin, the careless and unkind boy is played by Dave Mickelson, the sorcerer who recruits him to retrieve a wonderful lamp from a magic cave is played by Lee Namtvedt. Fatmaa, Aladdin’s mother is played by Amy Weber.  Other actors portraying characters are: Lizzie Jutila as Princess Dinazade, Ross Weinert as the Enuch, Terry Lee as Abdel-a-Teef the merchant, Ed Martin as Hassam, Jeff Martin as Sultan father to Dinazade, Emma Martin as Jinn of the Ring, James Peterson as Jinn of the Lamp, Doug Johnson as Abdul, Teygaen Hartman as Dinazade’s Attendant, Sam Brunclik as Careem, Craig Louis as Ali Kate Louis as Abdo,  Ron Weber as Grand Wezir, and Charlie Martin and Wayne Hulting as townspeople.
