Never Kiss a Naughty Nanny

Directed by Terry L. Wiesner

Wednesday, May 26 - Saturday, June 5

A developer and builder created a “House of the Future,” which is filled with gadgets:  self cleaning bathrooms, central trash disposal, automatic closets, and a masterpiece—“the ion chamber”.  Eager to sell his “House of the Future,” the developer persuades his secretary and a salesman to pose as a married couple renting the house.  When buyers show up for the weekend, nothing in the house seems to work right. So a maintenance man is summoned and forced to dress up as a nanny to perpetuate the ruse.

Michael Parker’s play introduces us to Mr. Broadbent, a developer and builder who has created “The House of The Future” with self lighting fireplaces, a self cleaning bathroom, automatic closets, and other future innovations that do not work properly.  After a four year attempt to sell his masterpiece the play opens as prospective buyers ,The McNicoll’s are planning to stay for the evening.  Broadbent bribes two of his employees Casey Cody and Ben Adams to pose as a married couple renting the house, and makes sure his maintenance man Eddie Cott is around to insure all gadgets work.   Directed by Terry Wiesner, the cast includes Dave Mickelson as Ben Adams, Steve Demers in a dual role as Mr. Broadbent and Walter Brooks, Holly Wiesner as Casey
