The Amorous Ambassador takes
to the stage Wednesday August 24th through Saturday September 3rd.
Set in a Country home outside of London, Harry Douglas, the Ambassador to
Great Britain, his wife Lois, and daughter Debbie are planning their weekend.
Each is hoping to have a romantic rendezvous in an empty house.
The new butler Perkins is keeping an eye on their plans, while the
Ambassador’s secretary Faye, and Captain South of the Marine Corps arrive in
the wake of a bomb threat sealing the
house off for hilarious results.
Directed by Terry Wiesner, the cast includes several veterans to the Red Barn
stage and a newcomer. Boyd Stearns
of Rice Lake plays the role of the Ambassador, Harry Douglas.
Perkins, the English Butler, is played by Rick Snyder of Weyerhauser.
Kendra Swenson of Chetek , newcomer to the Red Barn, takes on the role of
Debbie, the Ambassador’s daughter,
while Dave Mickelson, also of
Chetek becomes Joe, Debbie’s boyfriend.
Captain South is played by
Steve Demers of Rice Lake, while Rachel Westberg of Chetek takes the role of
Faye, the Ambassador’s secretary.
Marion Murdoch, the neighbor
lady, is played by Carol Hougdahl of Turtle
Lake, and Gail Gifford of
Canton takes on the role of Lois, the wife of the Ambassador.
