Sibling Rivalry + Family Ties = Ramona Quimby at the Red Barn  Theatre

Opening  June 16th on the Red Barn stage is the comedy Ramona Quimby dramatized by Len Jenkins from Beverly Cleary’s novel. Ramona is always aggravating her sister Beezus, getting into trouble, and throwing a big “noisy fuss” when she doesn’t get her way.  Beezus narrates the series of family vignettes  tracing Ramona’s 3rd grade year.  Their middle-class family faces problems common to most families, it is how they deal with them that will make the audience smile. Ramona Quimby is played by Sara Gonske, while Mia Penzkover plays Beezus.   Their parents are played by Adele Richie and Tommy Youston.  Other characters Include:  Jaimie Arnold as Aunt Bea, Tanner Richie as Howie Kemp, Ross Weinert as Uncle Hobart, Carol Hougdahl as Mrs. Kemp, Deb Sirek as Mrs. Griggs,  and Gia Capra as Susan.   Rounding out the cast are  Amy Lundgren, Ed Hougdahl, Olivia Peters, Madeline Peters, Catherine Krance, Chelsea Pumala, Grace Arrigoni, Matelyn Arrigoni, Shane Pisa, and Lee Pisa.
