A heartwarming and true Wisconsin show will be presented at the Red Barn Theatre in Rice Lake, WI, August 19-29. This fresh new musical by Katie Dahl premiered at Northern Sky Theatre in Door County in 2021 and also played a limited engagement at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater in early 2026. The RBT’s production is directed by Holly Dalsveen and Bob Rogers, with musical direction from Rachel Elbin. Holly and Jeff Dalsveen are designing the set.
Set in 1908 in Door County, two estranged sisters reunite to face the governor’s plan to claim their property for Peninsula State Park. Holly Dalsveen (Cameron) portrays Sarah Peterson and Marina Terenzi (Spooner) takes on the role of Nora Peterson. In addition, Andrew Elbin (Cameron) plays John Murphy and Jeff Dalsveen (also from Cameron) portrays Charlie.
Appearing in the Red Barn Gallery is the unique work of summer resident Sara Quattlebaum. Her Art Quilts are often inspired by the look of nature.
