In Norm Foster’s comedy, “Halfway There,” four old friends gather daily at Junior’s Cafe in Stewiacke (Nova Scotia) which is halfway to the North Pole from the equator. Opinions and laughs fly unfiltered especially when a handsome new doctor, Sean, arrives in town and becomes interested in Janine, the cafe waitress. (Please note that the hilarious humor in this show is most appropriate for adults). This production of the Red Barn Theatre’s 61st season runs 10 nights at 7:30 pm from June 22–July 2 with no Sunday performance.
“Halfway There” is directed by well known Hardscrabble Player Rick Snyder with other local Hardscrabble veterans making up the cast: Rachel Westberg (Janine) of Chetek, Josh Czekalaski (Sean) of Rice Lake, Beth Hurley Halverson (Mary Ellen) of Barron, Amber Wolfe (Vi) of Rice Lake and Connie Olson (Rita) of Chetek. Angela Hause of Madison, WI is the set builder assisted by Jennifer Snyder who is originally from Weyerhaeuser. The talented Cameron Senior Center Artists will be featured in the Red Barn Gallery.
